If applying for a UK student visa from outside the country, you can expect a decision within 3 weeks of submitting an application.
The earliest that you can apply for your visa is 6 months before you begin your course.
The recommended course of action is to apply 2 months before your intake.
Admission and visa application related fees will vary from University to University depending on their administration costs.
However, the cumulative costs – admission application fees, visa costs, insurance costs, visa processing fees, refundable visa deposit fee and other costs – could range upwards of GBP1,420.
Typically, institutes require at least an overall IELTS Band score of 6, with a minimum Band 6 in each of the abilities assessed – Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. However, some institutes in the UK might consider an overall IELTS Band score of 5.5.
Generally, a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is not needed for a student visa for the UK.
However, students must undergo a mandatory medical check immediately after arrival in the UK as part of residence visa application. Medical fitness requirements are to be met compulsory.
Sponsoring parents or dependents (wife and children) is allowed for resident visa holders in UK.
However, sponsorship is linked with the financial status of the visa holder. Usually, the sponsor must have around GBP810 to be eligible.
For a UK student visa holder to bring along their partner and children (below 18 years of age), the student must be –
  • A full-time student on a postgraduate level course that lasts 9 months or above,
  • A Doctorate Extension Scheme student, or
  • A new government-sponsored student on a course more than 6 months in duration.
The UK Graduate visa allows an international student to stay on in the UK for a minimum of 2 years after having successfully completed a study course in the UK. You will have to be within the UK at the time pf applying for the Graduate visa.
Candidates who meet entry requirements should submit an application with supporting documents (e.g. academic transcripts and certificates, personal statement, CV, reference, IELTS, ID etc.) prior to the application deadline below. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
Passed 12th from recognized board like CBSE or ISC with 60% or more marks

IB Diploma
36 points to include 3 HL subjects with Chemistry and at least one other science subject (Physics or Biology). Maths can be presented at either standard level or higher level.
or
A Levels
AAA including Chemistry and at least one other science subject.
IELTS – 6.5 (minimum individual sections 6.5) TOEFL is also acceptable.
Students must also pass an admissions interview to be considered for a place on the programme.
Students applying for undergraduate non-EU places do not need to sit the HPAT exam.

Here, by HPAT is implied the Health Professions Admission Test, used for selecting students for admission into medicine and other health science course at the University level.
You might have to sit for the HPAT-Ireland if you intend taking up any of the following courses –
  • National University of Ireland Galway, for Medicine
  • University College Dublin, for Medicine
  • University of Limerick, for MSc Occupational Therapy and MSc Speech and Language Therapy
  • University College Cork, for Medicine
  • Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, for Medicine
  • Trinity College Dublin, for Medicine
To be able to practice within the UK after studying MBBS in the UK, you will have to secure registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
