Description

Skilled Independent Visa (189)

It allows nurses to live and work in Australia infinitely, without sponsorship. Nurses must have an Australian skill assessment, obtain the required points in SkillSelect, and meet health and character requirements.

Skilled Nominated Visa (190)

An Australian state or territory must nominate international nurses to be eligible for this visa. They must have an Australian skill assessment, score at least 65 points in SkillSelect, and meet Australia's health and character requirements.

Points are given based on age, academic qualifications, proficiency in the English language, work experience, and nomination by an Australian state or territory.

Employer Nomination Scheme (186)

To be eligible for this visa, international nurses must be nominated by an Australia-based employer. The employer must fulfill specific requirements, and the applicant must satisfy the visa requirements.

This visa acts as a pathway for Australia PR for international nurses. After working for at least 3 years in Australia, they can apply for PR in Australia.

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (482)

The visa facilitates international nurses' work in Australia for four years. To be eligible for this visa, applicants must have a job offer from an Australian-based employer and meet other visa requirements.

After working for a specific period, nurses are eligible to apply for Australia PR.
