In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, international students have been advised by the Canadian government to apply online when applying for a study permit for Canada from overseas.
At the time of applying, the individual must submit as many of the documents required so as to make the Canada study permit application a “complete application”.
A letter of explanation will have to be included for any documents that might be missing due to the service limitations and disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Do keep in mind that, as of now, an international student cannot apply for a study permit at a Canadian port of entry.
A Canadian study permit application will not be rejected wherein the applicant is unable to submit the requested documents. Once the processing of the application commences, the applicant will be asked for the missing documents. If required, an extension will be provided for submitting the documents.
