A dependent can apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK, provided they have lived there for five years. They must have resided in the UK with a UK family visa or as a dependent with an eligible work visa. You can apply for a UK spouse visa or UK child dependent visa if your spouse or parent is already living in the UK and has an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) status. Dependent spouses, children, adult-dependent relatives, children above 18, dependent parents, etc., are eligible to apply for an ILR in the UK.

Before parents are granted an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
You can apply to register the child born in the UK as a British citizen if one or both parents have been granted the ILR status. Upon successfully processing the application, you can apply for a British passport.
After parents are issued an ILR
After one or both parents are issued an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), children born in the UK will automatically gain British citizenship. You can then apply for a British passport.
