Teachers can apply for the Canada Express Entry program through the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). Canada has a high demand for teachers, particularly for secondary school education. There are around 20,000 secondary school teacher jobs in Canada. The Express Entry system manages three economic programs: the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) allows skilled professionals with minimum work experience to apply for permanent residence in Canada. To be eligible for the FSWP as a teacher, you must score at least 67 points using the CRS tool while having 12 months of skilled work experience in the teaching field. You must also fulfill other eligibility criteria to qualify for the Express Entry program.
