How can I check my B1/B2 Visa status?

Foreign nationals can check their B1/B2 visa application status using the official CEAC website (Consular Electronic Application Centre).The country issues two types of US visas for foreign nationals to enter the country: Immigrant visas and Non-immigrant visas. The B1/B2 visa is a non-immigrant visa that is only for temporary purpose to enter the country. This visa permits the foreign national to stay in the country until the permit is valid. This includes visas for tourism (B-2), business (B-1), work (H-1B), study (F-1), and other specific purposes visa.

Ways to check B1/B2 visa status

Below are the steps to check the B1/B2 visa status:

Step 1: Visit the official CEAC website

Step 2: Choose the type of visa (Immigrant or non-Immigrant visa)

Step 3: Click on the visa status check

Step 4: Fill the valid immigration visa case number

Step 5: Enter the given code

Step 6: Submit the application

Step 7: View the B1/B2 visa status


Different US visa status

 There is different visa status that provides the applicants when the visa application will be proceed:
 

Status

Meaning

No Status

"No Status" means the US government is still reviewing and updating the case status on the website. This application procedure can change from few days to 10 days to change of the visa status.

Administrative Processing

“Administrative Processing” means that the visa is under review and still not be issued again. If the visa is processed and under review, it will be mentioned as “undergoing additional review” and the applicant will receive further notification once the processing is complete.

Issued

The "Issued" status means that the visa is in the final stage. Applicants can expect it to reach them within a week or ten days.

Rejected

   “Refused" status means that the visa is denied. This visa status means that the consular officer was not able to verify the applications eligibility for the visa.
