The process of applying for a the UAE work visa or work permit has thesethree stages
Employment Entry Visa
The employment entry visa of the UAE is also known as a pink visa. To start the process of getting the work visa, the employer should apply for the approval of the visa quota on behalf of the employee. The MOL or Ministry of Labour will authorize this approval.
Then, the employer has to submit a contract of employment to the MOL. The employee has to sign the contract.
Before the issuance of the employment entry visa, the work permit application must be approved by the Ministry. After getting the visa and the work permit, the foreign national employee has two months to enter the UAE.
After coming to the UAE with a pink visa, the employee has sixty days to secure a formal work permit and residence visa.

Emirates ID
The Emirates ID is necessary for the medical screening of the employees. It is used to apply for a residence visa. For the application of ID, the employee needs to submit their entry visa and the passport and its photocopy. The employees are required to apply in person at the EIDA or Emirates Identity Authority center. There they will give their biometrics like fingerprints and a photograph.
The application for the residence visa requires the employee to submit the needed documents. The employee's work permit is counted as one of the components of the residency visa. The residence visa for the UAE is valid for 1 to 3 years and can be renewed.
The employee can begin working officially once the work permit is approved.
