Steps to immigrate and work as a Doctor

Here are a few steps that are explained to immigrate to Austria as doctors are as follows:

 

Step 1: Recognition of Qualifications

Foreign nationals who want to work as doctors must apply for the Austrian Medical Chamber to have their degrees and experience recognized. Things to do to apply for the Austrian Medical Chamber:
 

• Apply to the Austrian Medical Chamber for recognition of foreign qualifications.
• Submit all relevant requirements, including degrees, certificates, and evidence of previous work experience. Translating all documents into German is an everyday necessity.
• The Medical Chamber determines if your credentials align with Austrian requirements.
• If the medical board orders, the applicant might need to complete training or sit for an examination. Foreign-trained physicians must pass an examination covering theory and practice to practice in Austria.
• The Austrian Medical Chamber will officially acknowledge your credentials after they have been evaluated and found competent.

 

Step 2: Language Proficiency

Foreign doctors must be fluent in German, a significant requirement for working in Germany. German Language Proficiency proof at the C1 level is required for physicians seeking licensure in Austria.

Step 7: Integration Agreement

The applicant must provide proof that proof of German language proficiency and recognition of the Australian legal and social system may be required before signing an integration agreement.

 

The Integration agreement is divided into two parts:

 

Module 1: German Proficiency that is equivalent to A2 Level and has knowledge of Austrian values of laws, and must be completed in 2 years of getting the specific residence permits
