I come from a small village in India, where even access to basic education was a challenge. Life was not easy, and meeting daily necessities required constant effort. My father was a schoolteacher, and my mother has always been a full-time homemaker. My sister and I were only children, and we were raised with great care and encouragement.
In our community, many families did not allow their daughters to study or play freely. Girls were often expected to help with household work instead. However, my parents believed strongly in education and equality. They ensured we had the best opportunities available and enrolled us in the school where my father taught. This allowed him to closely monitor our education and protect us from societal pressure. Thanks to their support, my sister and I consistently performed well academically.
After completing my Class 10 exams, I moved to a larger city near my village to continue my studies. I did very well in my Class 12 examinations and qualified for a national-level engineering entrance exam. This helped me secure admission to one of India’s top engineering colleges.
During my engineering studies, I was selected for a one-year student exchange program in the United States. That experience completely changed my outlook on life and career. Living and studying abroad opened my mind to global opportunities and inspired me to build an international career.
After graduating, I received a high-paying job offer from a multinational company in India. Although I had plans to move abroad, I decided to focus on my career in India initially.
Over the next seven years, I achieved several important milestones. I built a home for my parents in our village, supported my family financially, and helped my younger sister pursue higher education in the UK. Once I felt settled and had fulfilled my responsibilities, I was ready to focus on my own dream of moving abroad.
Initially, I planned to move to the United States. However, due to frequent immigration and policy changes, my plans did not work out. After careful research, I decided to explore Canada, as it offers strong career opportunities, a transparent immigration system, and clear pathways to permanent residency for skilled professionals.
During my research, I came across Y-Axis, one of the world’s leading immigration and career consulting companies. Their professional approach and clear guidance gave me confidence to move forward with my Canada PR plans.
Canada’s Express Entry system, managed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), is designed to attract skilled professionals like engineers to meet labor market needs. Y-Axis guided me through every stage of this process.

Y-Axis provided end-to-end support throughout my Canada PR journey, guiding me step by step and ensuring that every stage of the process was handled professionally and accurately.
The first step in my journey was checking my eligibility for Canada PR. I used Y-Axis’s free Canada immigration points calculator, which helped me clearly understand where I stood. I scored 70 points, which gave me confidence that I met the eligibility requirements under the Express Entry system. The Y-Axis team also explained how the points system works and what factors could further improve my score.
Y-Axis helped me create a Canadian-standard resume through their professional resume writing services. They structured my resume according to international hiring standards, highlighted my engineering skills and experience, and ensured it matched employer expectations in Canada. This significantly improved my chances of getting noticed by recruiters.
Language proficiency plays a major role in the Express Entry system. Y-Axis provided expert IELTS coaching, helping me understand the test format and improve my performance in all sections. With their guidance and practice sessions, I achieved a strong IELTS score, which helped boost my CRS points and strengthened my Express Entry profile.
The Y-Axis team guided me through the entire ECA process, from choosing the right assessing authority to submitting documents correctly. Their support ensured my educational qualifications were assessed smoothly and accepted without delays.
Y-Axis also supported me through their job search services, which were tailored to my engineering background, work experience, and CRS score. The team also guided me in improving my LinkedIn profile to match Canadian recruiter expectations and increase visibility to employers. Although Canada PR does not always involve a formal interview, Y-Axis prepared me for any possible visa-related verification or documentation checks. Their guidance helped me understand the process clearly and approach it with confidence, knowing that my application was well-prepared and accurate.
With a strong Express Entry profile and proper documentation, I received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from IRCC. This was a very proud and emotional moment for me and my family. It reminded me of the importance of education and the constant support my parents gave me throughout my life, which played a major role in reaching this milestone.
After receiving the ITA, Y-Axis helped me prepare and organize all required documents using a clear and detailed checklist. Their structured approach ensured that nothing was missed and every document met IRCC requirements. With expert support at every stage, I submitted my Canada PR application smoothly and without stress, feeling confident about the entire process.

After about six months of processing, I finally moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life.
