Step1
Understand the requirements
As a first step, you should understand the different requirements for the schools and courses and assess how far you can meet them. You must also understand the rules and regulations that need to be followed to apply for the Canada study permit.

Take the Language Proficiency Test
To be eligible for a study permit, you must take a language proficiency test. Prepare for the standardized tests like TOEFL/GRE/GMAT/IELTS etc. based on the requirements of the universities & colleges. Register for these tests in advance. While applying for the tests you should also plan for the time required in case you need to retake the test. You should complete these tests before September of the year you wish to apply.

Check if you have the funds to finance your studies
