Western Australia opens permanent residency doors for skilled workers in over 330 occupations

Western Australia has announced the immigration program for 2022-2023. Under this program, an announcement has been made that Western Australia will accept the applications of the skilled migrants from different countries according to the number of occupations mentioned in the Graduate stream which has been increased to 330.

The government has announced that invitations have been sent for applying for the state nominations will be done via the ranking system which will help the applicants to migrate to Australia. The preference will be given to the candidates who are living in Western Australia. After that, candidates living in Australia will be preferred. After these, the candidates living overseas will be given preference.

The program will also provide an opportunity to the candidates to access the Graduate Occupation list which can be used to apply for different kinds of jobs.

The government has announced that 194 occupations are added to the Graduate Occupation List. This addition has made the total number of occupations to 331.

This addition has been done for attracting the students to study in Western Australia. The expansion in the occupation list will be active in 2022-2023. The students who graduate in Western Australia will have the opportunity to apply for permanent residence.

The government has also announced that invitations to apply for Western Australia will not start in 2022-2023. The education and training minister Sue Ellery has stated that the state government will give a priority to invite skilled workforce in the state. This will help in the economic growth of the state and it will also reduce the skill shortages.

She said that the state has been made a safe place to live, study, and work in Australia by providing world-class education, health management and job opportunities.
