The Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Visa allows qualifying skilled workers to live, study, and work in the designated regional areas of Australia.  With a Subclass 494 visa, you can reside in Australia for up to 5 years and even qualify for permanent residency after 3 years. To qualify, individuals must meet the 494 visa requirements and fulfill the Subclass 494 visa eligibility criteria. One of the visa requirements is to have an occupation that is listed on the skilled occupation list. Around 650 occupations given on the Regional Occupation List (ROL) and the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) are eligible for the Subclass 494 visa.
