The Canadian government has announced 30,000 more applications under the Parents and Grandparents Program, 2021. These additional applications will sum up with the 10,000 applications which are already been received.
On July 17, 2021, Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino has announced these additional applications. The next set of applications will be issued from September 20, 2021, to the applicants who have previously submitted their interest to sponsor forms.
Mendicino said, "the importance of family has never been clearer than during the pandemic. By strengthening the Parents and Grandparents Program, inviting a record number of sponsors to apply, and by adjusting our requirements to adapt to the current times, we are once again proving our commitment to helping Canadian families stay together and thrive together."
This program will bind the relations strong and make the families unite in Canada and live happily. To ease the process and further move, the Parents and Grandparents 2021 Program, the income requirement continues to be the minimum instead of plus 30 percent. The insurance benefits and COVID-19 benefits account for the sponsor’s income.
All these measures increase the feasibility of applying to the program.
