NSW Australia 489 Visa has the participation of Nine Australian regions. One among the participating Regional Authorities Central West has announced that the visa applications assessment is going on. All applicants will be informed regarding assessment outcomes by RDACW through email. Meanwhile, the Skills Occupation List for Central West will remain closed until 31 January for review.

The 2019 Skills Occupation List for Central West is being reviewed by RDACW. It will be reconsidering the Australia 489 Visa (provisional Skilled Regional) procedural assessment for 2019. Skills Occupation List for Central West will re-open in March this year. The list, as well as all criteria for application, will be updated on the website in this month.

On 21 August 2018, Central West closed for all occupations. The subclass regional sponsorship Australia 489 Visa has the participation of 9 regional authorities. Each region has unique requirements, criteria, fee, application process and list as quoted by the SBS.

The current status of the 9 regions under NSW Australia 489 Visa is:

  • Central West - provisionally closed - New Regional Authority
  • Far South Coast - provisionally closed
  • Mid North Coast - provisionally closed
  • Northern Rivers - provisionally closed - New Regional Authority
  • Orana - provisionally closed
  • Riverina - provisionally closed
  • Southern Inland - presently sponsoring
  • Murray- presently sponsoring
  • Northern Inland - presently sponsoring
