Canada is the best country for remote workers and digital nomads. There are many beautiful places to visit in Canada where you can live comfortably and work remotely. Applications for Digital Nomads are made under the visitor visa category. IT Professionals can work in Canada with a Digital Nomad Visa.

Express Entry

Express Entry is a process for skilled workers who would like to work and live in Canada permanently. The Canada Express Entry Program depends on a points-based system to assess applicants. The aim of this system is to find applicants who have the highest chance of succeeding after they move to Canada. IRCC conducts an Express Entry Draw, and applicants who have high CRS Scores will be sent invitations to apply.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Canadian provinces and territories are all operated by the Provincial Nominee Program except Quebec and Nunavut; PNPs are designed to select certain immigration candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria to work in Canadian job market. Many of Canada’s PNP include streams that help foreign technology talent.

Labor Market Impact Assessment

A Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that is necessary for employers in Canada before hiring foreign workers. A positive LMIA will show that a foreign worker is needed to fill that particular job. It will also indicate that no permanent resident or Canadian worker is available to do the job. A positive LMIA is also called a confirmation letter.

Intra-Company Transfer (ICT)

ICT is one of the great platforms for IT professionals to get Canada PR. ICT helps professionals to work at multinational companies and transfer from their current division in their home country to the Canadian division of the company. One year's work permit will be given to candidates to come and work in the country. This work experience can be used to apply for immigration through one of the Provincial Nominee programs or Express Entry programs.
