On August 19, 2021, Quebec held its Arrima draw and invited 502 immigration candidates to apply for permanent residence.
The MIFI (Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration) has issued these 502 invitations under Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).
Candidates who have registered the Expression of Interest (EOI) in Quebec’s online registration portal, Arrima, are eligible to receive these.
Expression of Interest (EOI)
It is a pre-application process that allows Quebec to select candidates interested in migrating to the province. Later if the candidate score meets the minimum score, they will receive the Invitations to submit the application and proceed further.
The latest draw is just one week after the biggest Arrima draw, which invited 512 individuals.
The invitations are issued based on the requirements of Quebec’s labor market.
In this draw, Quebec invited individuals having a minimum score of 548. Along with this, the candidates' occupation also needs to be present in the list of targeted occupations.

About Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP)
The Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) is for skilled workers who are willing to migrate and have a settled life in Quebec. This QSWP especially encourages skilled workers and international graduates.
If the candidate is willing to settle in Quebec, then the profile of the applicant will be assessed under a different system compared to other provinces in Canada.
The applicants who are invited to apply for permanent selection should complete the process within six months, which will start from the date of application submitted to process the application. This includes the submission of checklist documents and forms required.
If the candidate's application is successful, then they will receive CSQ (Certificat de sélection du Québec) or Quebec Selection Certificate, which can be used to apply for permanent residence to the Canadian federal government.
