As per an official News Alert, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program [BC PNP] has “increased the fees for Skills Immigration [SI] applications and requests for review submissions”. The revised fee is effective on August 6, 2020.

Applicants are required to pay the fees either upon registration or at the time of submitting their application in the BC PNP application system.

Fees paid to the BC PNP can only be made in the BC PNP Online application system.

From August 6, 2020, the new fee for the Skills Immigration application will be $1,150. Earlier the fees was $700. The new fee for a review request is $500, from the previous fee of $200.

Skills Immigration Fees Registration No fee
Application $1,150
Request for Review $500
Entrepreneur Immigration Fees Registration $300
Application $3,500
Request for Review $500
Strategic Project Fees Registration $300
Application $3,500
Key Staff $1,000
Request for Review $500

The fees charged by the BC PNP are for processing a BC PNP registration, application, or review request.

A separate fee is to be paid at the time of submitting an application for Canadian permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC].

As per the BC PNP, the increase in fee is for allowing the BC PNP to continue efficiently serving applicants, providing them assistance till they receive their Canada PR.

The increased fee, according to the BC PNP, will also allow continued program improvements, expanding outreach to applicants, enhancing program integrity, and improving program efficiency.

British Columbia’s PNP offers a dedicated pathway for foreign entrepreneurs and international workers to apply for Canadian permanent residence for themselves and their dependents.

The BC PNP has undergone substantial growth across the previous decade. In 2009, British Columbia had an annual allocation of 3,000 provincial nominations. In 2019, the annual allocation had more than doubled to 6,750.
