Canada’s British Columbia has held another round of invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP].

On June 15, 2021, another 72 candidates were issued invitations by British Columbia PNP in the latest BC PNP Tech draw, earlier referred to as the BC PNP Tech Pilot. As the program has now been made permanent, the name has been altered accordingly.

Those invited can now proceed to applying to the BC PNP for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada.

Invitations issued by the BC PNP went out to candidates under the categories of –

    • Express Entry BC [EEBC]: Faster way for BC immigration. Linked with the federal Express Entry system. Points-based invitation system. Fully web-based registration and application process. No British Columbia work experience required.
    • Skills Immigration [SI]: For skilled and semi-skilled workers in occupations in high demand in BC. A points-based invitation system. Registration and applying online, followed by a paper application process. Some categories might not require prior work experience.

The BC PNP Tech is not a separate category or stream as such. Under the Tech draws held by BC PNP, invitations are issued to candidates through the SI and EEBC categories, provided they have a job offer in BC in any of the 29 key tech occupations.
