British Columbia issues 519 invitations in the latest draw

British Columbia British Columbia held the latest draw on 17th September. A total of 519 invitations were issued in this draw under the Express Entry, Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Stream. The 17th September draw was the 36th draw of the BC Provincial Nominee Program. BC PNP has issued a total of 5,499 ITAs in 2019 so far. In the latest draw, 481 invitations went out to Express Entry and Skills Immigration candidates. 30 ITAs were issued to candidates in the Entrepreneur Stream-Base category. 8 invitations were issued under the Entrepreneur Stream- Regional Pilot. Skilled and semi-skilled professionals working in high-demand occupations in British Columbia can apply under the Skills Immigration category. Candidates who have a valid profile in the Express Entry Pool may apply under the BC Express Entry sub-category. Eligible candidates should be willing to live in BC permanently and also meet the requirements of the BC PNP. The cut-off score for both the Express Entry and Skill Immigration category in the latest draw ranged between 92 and 101 points. Entrepreneurs who want to establish a business in the regional areas of BC or those who want to invest and actively manage a business in BC can apply under the Entrepreneur categories. The minimum score in the Entrepreneur categories ranged between 108 and 115 in the latest draw. Eligible candidates under the Entrepreneur categories must demonstrate management and business experience. For the Regional Pilot category, entrepreneurs need to have a net worth of at least $300,000. The net worth required for the Base category is at least $600,000, as per CIC News. All the provincial nominee categories are managed by the BC SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration System). To apply for a provincial nomination, eligible candidates must first create an account on the SIRS. Each candidate is then given a score based on factors like education, work experience, language proficiency etc. Here are the results of the BC PNP draw on 17th September:
