British Colum PNP Draw Oct 5 On October 5, 2021, British Columbia invited a record 108 candidates under BC PNP Tech. This is the first time in 2021 that 100+ invitations have been issued by British Columbia in a Tech draw. With the exception of Quebec, all the other Canadian provinces are a part of the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. Quebec has its own immigration programs. Canadian permanent residence through the PNP route requires securing a PNP nomination as the first part of the process. The PNP Nomination Certificate can then be used for applying for Canada PR.
An Overview of October 5 BC PNP Tech draw  Total invitations issued: 108
Express Entry BC – EEBC Skills Immigration – SI
Immigration Streams Minimum SIRS Score
EEBC – Skilled Worker 70
EEBC – International Graduate 70
SI – Skilled Worker 70
SI – International Graduate 70
Note. SIRS: Skills Immigration Registration System. SIRS score is allotted following an assessment of the profile on certain factors. The minimum score requirement of SIRS 70 is the lowest so far in 2021 in any BC PNP Tech draw. Generally, the minimum SIRS requirement in Tech draws by British Columbia in 2021 has been that of SIRS 80. The February 23, 2021, BC PNP draw is the only Tech draw so far this year to have a SIRS 75 requirement.
BC PNP Tech is not a separate category as such. Under Tech draws, the BC PNP issues invitations to apply to candidates eligible for either the Skills Immigration [SI] or Express Entry BC [EEBC] categories, provided they have their occupation under any of the 29 key occupations. Earlier known as BC PNP tech Pilot, the same has been extended permanently and renamed accordingly.
EEBC is aligned with the federal Express Entry system that is managed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC]. A BC PNP candidate that is able to secure a nomination through the EEBC is allotted 600 ranking points as per the Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS]. With the CRS 600 boost towards the top of the IRCC pool, that candidate is guaranteed an invitation by IRCC in a subsequent federal draw. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RELATED ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ With the latest round of invitations, a total of 9,229 invitations to have been issued by the BC PNP so far this year.
