Canada has decided to increase the working hours of international students during their studies. Sean Fraser made an announcement on Friday to deal with the shortage of workers in Canada. The rule will come become effective from November 15, 2022, and will end on December 31, 2023.
Candidates who have already submitted applications for the Canada study permit will also have the opportunity to get advantage from this measure if they get the approval. As the economy of Canada is growing at a faster pace, employers in the country are keen to hire international workers.
More than a million jobs are available in Canada and employers in different sectors are struggling to employ workers to fulfill the vacant positions. This measure will help employers to employ the students who will be able to get Canada work experience and later apply for Canada PR. Canada already has more than 500,000 international students and this can give a boost to the job market in the country.

IRCC stated that more than 450,000 applications have been processed from January 2022 to August 2022.
