Highest immigration level recorded amid the challenging times!
Canada, popularly known as the most immigration-friendly destination, exceeds its immigration target by landing 405,303 new permanent residents in 2021, as per the IRCC data. That means the country exceeds the actual immigration levels plan 2021.

The country almost followed its immigration level plan 2021, except in a few classes. In a few, it invited more than it targeted and invited less number of candidates. But on a total, it invited 4,05,303 immigrants, and the details are mentioned below:

CEC leads the way, accounting one-third of new PR's
The CEC has become the leading pathway for landing new permanent residents. In 2021, the CEC pathway landed 130,555 people, which accounts for 32 percent of all immigrants. This is recorded as the biggest draw in 2021. Whereas in 2020, it landed 9 percent of all new landings.
For instance, IRCC landed 27,332 CEC candidates in the Express Entry pool on February 13, 2021. It also landed 8,320 people under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) in 2021.
