The Canada CRS / Comprehensive Ranking System score decreased by 2 points to 452 in the latest Express Entry Draw. It offered 3,350 Canada PR Visa invitations and was held on 20th March 2019. The previous draw was held on 6th March 2019.
So far in 2019, 21,200 ITAs / Invitations to Apply have been offered through the Express Entry system. This is by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. It is an addition of 6,700 ITAs over the 14,500 offered in 2018 by this time by IRCC. In this year IRCC set a record of 89,000 ITAs to candidates in the Express Entry pool.
Given the trends so far in 2019, it is anticipated that IRCC will set a new record for ITAs. This is given the higher admission targets for immigrants in 2019 and 2020. It is through the 3 skilled economic immigration streams managed by Express Entry:
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for the above streams are entered into the pool of Express Entry. They are then offered scores based on diverse factors. These include Proficiency in French or English, Work Experience, Education, Age, and others, as quoted by the CIC News.
A set number of candidates who have the highest Canada CRS score are then invited by IRCC. This is to apply for Canada PR Visa through frequent draws held in the pool.
The 20th March draw has the tie-breaker as below:
It implies that all candidates who had Canada CRS score more than 425 received the PR Visa invites. Along with them those who scored 452 and filed their profile in the Express Entry prior to the tie-break time and date also got ITAs.
The minimum Canada CRS score has decreased 2 times in the previous two invitation draws.
