Before the pandemic Canadian government used to take six months to process the Express Entry immigration applications. Due to this, applicants used to wait for a long time. The applicants under Express Entry applicants with Non-Canadian experience class (CEC) stayed for overall 20 months on average for immigration, Refugees, and Citizen Canada (IRCC) to get their permanent residence applications.
The IRCC has recently claimed to process a new Express Entry application in less than six months. This will get implemented when IRCC restarts the Express Entry invitations to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and CEC applicants in July.

The standardization of Express Entry during the beginning of July is one of the major news that has been broken in recent days. Express Entry is one of the main sources of IRCC to welcome skilled workers to Canada. The invitations for permanent residence to FSWP candidates are currently on pause temporarily. Since December 2020, CEC applicants have not yet received invitations since September 2021. This situation will change from July. During the year 1967, FSWP was the main way to invite skilled immigrants to Canada. But from the pandemic, the CEC recorded 1/3rd of the record of 405,000 immigrants landed in Canada in 2021.

The restart of the two programs will allow hundreds of candidates to achieve Canadian permanent residence. This restarting of the programs also means an excellent opportunity for Canadian employers to hire skilled ones. Canadian employers require immigrant talent to fill in their shortage of workforce. Canada records 80000 job vacancies, which is the lowest unemployment rate of all time on record.
