Canada jobs surge back in February as Omicron wanes, 3.4 lakh jobs added

 Abstract: Canada added approximately 340,000 jobs in February after the slowdown of the spread of the pandemic virus.

The Labour Force report

The Labour Force report states that the unemployment rate in Canada is the lowest in the past fifty years. Recently, the pandemic restrictions were relaxed, which has led to a boost in the economy. The men between the age of twenty-five to fifty-four saw the employment rate of this section rise to 88.2%. The women citizens saw a rise of 81% in the employment rate. The increase has women in both part-time and full-time jobs. In contrast, men's employment is concentrated solely in full-time positions. The Bank of Canada is optimistic that the economy will progress to its best. A 6 more interest increase is expected as the central bank hiked up the cycle.
