Canada N&L offers 2 new PR Pathway programs

Canada N&L - Newfoundland and Labrador has announced that it will be launching 2 new PR Pathway programs. This will be under the Provincial Nominee Program Newfoundland and Labrador. The two immigration streams are:

• International Entrepreneur Category
• International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador made this announcement through a press release. Canada N&L is the easternmost Canadian province encircled by the Atlantic Ocean, as quoted by the CIC News.

Provincial Nominee Program Newfoundland and Labrador is a PNP that permits the province to nominate overseas nationals. This is for Canada PR through its Provincial Nomination. Successful candidates who receive the nomination can submit the PR application with the IRCC.

The Canada N& L province already had three PNP streams prior to this announcement. These are:

• Express Entry Category
• Skilled Worker Category
• International Graduate Category

It has now announced 2 more PNP streams that will be PR Pathway programs. Overseas business immigrants will be targeted by the International Entrepreneur Category. This is for those who are inclined to invest and manage a business in the province.

Recently graduated overseas students in the province will be targeted by the International Graduate Entrepreneur Category. These must have demonstrated their ability to operate a business in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Provincial Nominee Program Newfoundland and Labrador has not revealed details of the application process. It has also not announced the allocation for these 2 new PR Pathway programs.

The immigration website of the province has also not been updated with the new programs. It has however revealed the general eligibility requirements for each of the categories.
