Recently, the focus has been on candidates that were more likely to already be in Canada as compared to immigration candidates that were overseas. Since March 18, the federal Express Entry draws have alternated between inviting candidates with a nomination under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] and those eligible for the Canadian Experience Class [CEC].
It was March 18 when travel restrictions were imposed in Canada as part of COVID-19 special measures.
With a standard processing time of 6 months for Canada PR applications filed, Canada’s Express Entry continues to be much sought-after among immigrants in 2020.
