In September 2022, immigration to Canada surged and the number of invitations was much more in comparison to August 2022. The number of invitations issued in July, August, and September 2022 can be found in the table below:

The number of welcoming new permanent residents in September increased and Canada invited 44,495 candidates to migrate to Canada. Previously the record was made in November 2021 in which the number of Canada PR issued was 47,625.
The total number of invitations from January 2022 to September 2022 is 353,840. It has been estimated that by the end of 2022, Canada will welcome 471,787 new permanent residents.
According to the Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024, the target for 2022 was 431,465.

Immigration was conducted by almost all the provinces and territories in September 2022. Ontario invited 4,555 more permanent residents in comparison to the previous month. Northwest Territories showed an increase of only 15 more permanent residents. The number of increase in invitations for different provinces can be found in the table below:
