In an update, CEPIP has announced on their Twitter page that towards their commitment to “increasing capacity across the country for equitable distribution of availability”, CEPLIP will make sittings available from May 12 to 16 in a very “limited capacity”.
The aforementioned tweet comes merely hours after tweeting a dedication for providing “added capacity” for accommodating the demand for bookings.
CELPIP – General is Canada’s leading English language proficiency test that is used for the purpose of Canadian immigration and professional designation. The edge that the CELPIP has over other standardized tests for English is in the fact that the CELPIP is – · completely computer-delivered, · administered in 1 sitting, and · with quick online results. |
As per the latest availability update by CELPIP, test settings will be available from May 16 onwards. However, certain changes have been made in the registration policies and notification processes in view of the changing nature of COVID-19 restrictions.
CELPIP suggests registering for the notification bar – a pop-up on the official CELPIP website – as the “best way to be notified about new sittings in your area”.
No further updates on new openings are to be posted by CELPIP on social media.
The new test dates have been added in view of a high demand following the announcement of the 6 new streams under a temporary pathway leading to Canadian permanent residence.
Over 90,000 are to be granted Canada PR through 3 of these streams.
The other 3 streams, however, are targeted at French-speaking workers and students in Canada and have no specified intake limit.
On April 22, 2021, the federal government of Canada has announced the language requirement for the new temporary pathway to Canadian permanent residence. |
The demand for Canada’s new immigration streams is extremely strong owing to the fact that many international graduates and essential workers in Canada are expected to submit their applications for the same.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] has laid down that applicants to the new streams will be required to have all the required documentation – including the language test results – at hand at the time of applying.
