CRS drops further in the latest Express Entry draw

Express Entry Draw #150 on May 28 was another draw specifically targeting immigration candidates under the Canadian Experience Class [CEC]. In the latest draw, 3,515 Invitations to Apply [ITAs] were issued, minimum Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] score required was 440.

The trend of lower CRS scores continues with the present draw. The requirement of CRS 440 is the lowest so far in 2020. The earliest lowest CRS in 2020 of 447 was in the May 15 draw [#148].

The May 28 draw is the largest CEC-specific draw since May 1, and the second-largest since March 18 when COVID-19 special measures were put in place in Canada.

Interestingly, this draw comes quite close to the previous one. This is the second invitation round to be held in 2 consecutive days. The previously held draw invited 385 Express Entry candidates that had a provincial nomination.

A tie-break rule was applied in the May 28 draw. The date and time used was March 7, 2020 at 10:36:59 UTC, implying that all CEC candidates had a CRS of 440 and above, along with having submitted their profile before the mentioned time and date, were issued an ITA.

With the latest draw, IRCC has invited a total of 42,100 Express Entry candidates in 2020 so far.

A total of 17 Express Entry draws have been held in 2020 so far.
