The Canadian Government has offered 3, 750 PR ITAs in the second Canada EE draw held in 11 days and the required CRS score dipped to 442 points. The latest Express Entry draw was held on 25 June.
The all program Canada EE draw held on 25 June is the second round of invitation within 11 days. It is also the second successive round in which 3, 750 Canada Permanent Residency invites were offered. This is a record high number of ITAs being offered in 2018, as quoted by the CIC News.
The tie-break rule was adopted by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in this draw as well. The tie-breaker time and date for the Canada EE draw held on 25 June were 21.06.11 UTC and 28 January 2018. It implies that all applicants who had 442 plus CRS scores received the PR invite in this draw. Along with these, the applicants who scored 442 and filed their profile prior to the specified time and date also received the invites.
The latest round had large draw size along with shorter duration between the consecutive draws. This contributed to the lowering of CRS score by 9 points to reach 442 from 451 in the draw held on June 20.
Canada has enhanced its targets for the intake of overseas immigrants accepted through the Express Entry program in 2018 and 2019. The intake targets are fixed at 74, 900 and 81,000 immigrants respectively in these 2 years.
IRCC has a long way to go in order to exceed the ITAs offered in 2017. This is even if it holds larger and more frequent draws such as the latest round held on 25 June.
