The Danish Government has updated the income level for foreign workers in Denmark to align with the standard salary threshold of the country. The new income level requirement will be applicable from January 01, 2025.
Denmark work and residence permit applicants submitting their application after December 31, 2024, will have to abide by the new salary levels to be eligible. This move aims to ensure that foreign workers in Denmark earn enough and have an equal footing with the nationals of the country.

As per reports by the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), the updated salary levels will be applicable for the following schemes:
The Danish Government has stated that the updated salary levels will be applicable for employment contracts covered under a collective agreement. If the salary of the worker does not meet the updated income level then the employer must explain the situation to the authorities via a comment and then decide on the application.
