A new system called the "Olympic Consulate" has been introduced and it aims to handle applications of 15,000 international athletes, 9,000 media, and foreign delegations taking part in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Details about the new Digital Schengen Visas in France

The initiative by French government was put in place in an attempt to keep the Olympic application process apart from the paperwork that is presently being processed at French visa offices overseas.

This digital platform, aligned with the EU Schengen visa digitalization plans, facilitates a seamless online application process through the France-Visas platform.

Visas for these 70,000 individuals will be directly integrated into their accreditation cards rather than being attached to their passports.
