What are the documents that you need for Canada IQUA ECA?

Applicants of Canada IQUA ECA International Qualifications Assessment Service Educational Credential Assessment will need specific documents. They must fill the ECA Application Checklist to ensure that their application is complete.

 

The Canada IQUA ECA application package must include:

Completed Application Checklist for ECA

• Only those credentials must be listed that needs to be assessed

Application Form IQAS

• Printed, completed, and with signature
• If paying online payment receipt or if using money order or bank draft the payment

Evidence of name:

• Photocopy of an identity document issued by the government such as passport
• certified true or notarized copy is not needed

 If applicable evidence of name changes:

• It is needed only if your latest name is not the same as the one present on educational documents
• This can be a photocopy of passport, record of landing, marriage certificate etc
• certified true or notarized copy is not needed

Photocopies of your degree/diploma certificates:

• These are the documents offered after you were awarded the diploma/degree (unofficial provisional academic credentials or incomplete credentials will not be assessed by IQAS)
• Original certificates are not to be sent
• Certified true or notarized copy is not needed
• Ph.D. degree holders must send the cover page of the thesis and the photocopy of the Ph.D. degree

All non-English educational documents’ translations:

• It includes translations of the transcriptions being sent by the awarding institution
• Translations must be done by a qualified professional translator who need not be certified in Canada
• Notarization or certification of translations are not needed

Mark sheets / academic transcripts will be sent directly to IQAS by mail by the issuing institution, as quoted by the CIC News.
