Many candidates have got refusal for the F-1 student visa. Such candidates will not be allowed to get a slot in the summer when the application slots will be opened. Donald L. Heflin, Minister Counsellor for Consular Affairs, has made this announcement on March 11. Heflin also told that in June and first half of July, applicants can send their applications for student visas.
The minister has stated that in this summer chance to study in USA will be given to the fresh applicants. Here is the list of applicants who can apply for the student visa:
If applicants have already been refused, no slot will be given to them in this summer.
Appointments will be opened for 15,000 students from August 15 to September 1,2022. In this period, applicants who have got refusal in this summer or last year will be given a slot. The minister said that there are a lot of people who have been rejected so the decision of not giving them a chance to apply this summer has been taken.
The minister has also stated that in the coming 12 months, 8 lakh US visas will be issued to Indians. Careful steps will be taken to recover the visa operations in India.
