A student’s USA Visa has been rejected owing to the filing of fake documents by the education consultancy firm on behalf of the student applicant. The firm had advised the young aspiring graduate to submit forged experience certificate for the US Visa interview. The Consumer court has asked the firm to refund the amount received by the firm for offering visa process and application services.
The court said it is crucial to be observed that the firm was familiar with the fact that the experience certificate was forged. The education consultancy is into the business of advising youth and students. It must take full care so as to not to encourage them to file fake certificates or letters.
Elaborating on the consequences for the student, the court said that it is greatly disappointing and hopeless result for the student. There can be no adequate compensation to redeem this wrongdoing to the student. Nevertheless, it is a lesson for the students to be kept in mind, added the court.
The student applicant had also paid a huge amount to the firm, as quoted by the Times of India.
The aggrieved student applicant said that the consultancy had asked her to bring all the required documents. This was inclusive of financial and certificates for the experience. The student stated to the firm that she has no work experience.
The firm then supposedly forged experience documents and filed it along with the other documents to the US Consulate. This resulted in the USA Visa getting rejected, added the student.
