Canada holds First-Ever Targeted Category-Based Express Entry Draw for Trades Occupations. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the first-ever targeted category-based Express Entry draw for trade occupations. On 3rd August, 2023, the IRCC invited 1,500 candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 388.
The focused Trades category includes professions such as plumbing, carpentry, and welding. Canada aims to attract more workers to Canada’s construction sector.
