Germany attracting a growing number of international students in 2025

According to recent data by the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD), universities in Germany are expected to welcome around 405,000 international students in the winter semester 2024-2025. The President of DAAD, Dr, Joyabrato Mukherjee stated that Germany should take more international students in science, business and society willing to study in the country.
 

The Skilled Labour Initiative, headed by the DAAD, currently supports 104 German universities in taking international students from all over the world. The international student intake is expected to increase by 7% compared to last year. Around 90% of German universities have reported a rise in international student enrolments, along with a 56% rise in enrolment for Master’s programs in Germany.
