United States has announced the dates for H-1B visa registrations

The start dates for H-1B online filling for FY25 are approaching. The United States stated that it is working to reduce the backlogs of green cars and wait times for H-1B and other work permits.

 

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows US companies to hire foreign skilled workers with expertise and skills, and it has recently become a point of focus.

 

The White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, underscored their recent efforts to strengthen the integrity of the immigration system, mentioning that the DHS had published a final rule regarding the H-1B visa last month.

 

H-1B visa registration dates FY 2025

The H-1B electronic registration period dates will be open from March 06, 2024, to March 22, 2024, and prospective petitioners and their representatives can use online USCIS account to register their beneficiaries electronically for the selection process.

 

Beginning with the registration period for FY 2025, registrants are required to present with valid passport or travel document details for every beneficiary. If granted an H-1B visa, the details must match the document the beneficiary intends to use while entering the US.

Online filling for Form I-129 and associated Form I-907

Additionally, the launch of online filing for Form I-129 and associated Form I-907 for no-cap H-1B petitioners was announced by the USCIS in March. For selected registrations, online filing will begin on April 01, 2024, for H-1B cap petitions and associated forms.

 

Initiatives by USCIS to improve collaboration and simplify H-1B visa processes

USCIS has introduced myUSCIS organizational accounts to improve collaboration and simplify processes, allowing multiple individuals within an organization to work together with their legal representatives to prepare H-1B registrations and petitions.

 

Additionally, USCIS initiated Tech Talks sessions starting from February 2024 to help organizations and legal representatives navigate the new processes providing guidance and clarification to individuals for online filing for H-1B petitions.
