Policy Exchange Report reveals Indians to be the top ethnic group in the UK

Policy Exchange Report released data that ranks Indians as the largest ethnic group of workers in the UK. The Report, known as “A Portrait of Modern Britain: Ethnicity and Religion,” was based on a thorough analysis of the educational, health, economic, and demographic situation of the ethnic groups in the UK. The report shows that British Indians living in the country have a high homeownership rate. Around 71% of them live in owned properties or in properties that are mortgaged with shared ownership.

The report examined the data from the 2021 UK Census, including polling results and other statistical resources. Booster samples of 1,400 minority ethnic members were also analyzed by taking 200 respondents each from the below-listed groups:

• Black African
• Black Caribbean
• Indians
• Pakistanis
• Bangladeshis
• Chinese
• Mixed-Race ethnic groups
