IRCC announces Canada Study permit caps for all provinces

Highlights: Canada Provinces received their allocation of study permits for 2024!

• IRCC has released the last allocation of study permits for all provinces for 2024.
• The allocations are distributed for each province based on their population.
• Ontario receives the highest number of allocation of study permits, which is 235,000.

Distribution of study permits allocation.

• Allocations are distributed based on the population of each province and territory.
• IRCC adjusts allocations for provinces that previously received lower allocations of study permits.
• Provinces that received more international students in 2024 had their allocations closed at 10% of their population.
• The department increased the allocations for Canadian provinces with an acceptance rate lower than 60%.

IRCC has released the allocation of study permits for all provinces for 2024. IRCC clarifies that every province will receive study permit allocations for international students based on the province’s population.
