According to recent news, IRCC has requested Indian students currently studying in Canada to resubmit documents such as their Canada study permit and educational records like attendance and mark sheets. Students with a study permit valid for two years are also asked to re-upload their documents.
IRCC has even asked some students to pay an in-person visit to the IRCC offices to authorize and verify their credentials. Students reckon this move is IRCC's strategy to filter out genuine students from those willing to change their Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) just to skip attendance restrictions and work in Canada without any limitations.

Recently, the IRCC announced Updated Immigration Fees Starting December 1, 2024, and is further expected to announce updates to financial requirements for Canada visas. The country is also planning to set a cap count on the number of students migrating to Canada for study purposes.
