The program will offer 14.2 million CAD in funding for the next 5 years. It is designed to encourage exchanges and sharing of knowledge and skills and to introduce advanced education and research in common areas of interest.

The education-oriented program aids international students in social and economic contributions to Canada. The funds received under the Indo-Pacific Strategy will help in strengthening Canada's International Student Program.
