The IRCC has launched a new temporary policy under which certain PNP candidates will be eligible to apply for an Open Work Permit (OWP) in Canada. This move is part of the IRCC's broader program. Prior to Yukon, the IRCC implemented this move for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program and Manitoba PNP.
Canada PNP candidates having a valid work permit, a job offer, or a work permit that expired after May 07, 2024, will be eligible for an OWP. Applicants must also have a support letter from the provincial government where they reside. The policy will remain effective until December 31, 2024.
