*Willing to work in Japan? Y-Axis is here to provide complete assistance!
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) estimated that with Japan’s current workforce pace, only 5.91 million employees will be working in Japan in 2040. The average annual growth of Japan's economy is targeted at 1.24%. Japan needs around 1 million foreign workers to meet the economic demands of the country.
Foreign workers play a significant role in boosting Japan's economic growth rate. There has been a 3% increase in the number of foreign workers in Japan, which has risen to 2.05 million since October 2023. The Japanese government has extended work permits to several blue-collar jobs in order to ease public opinion on accepting foreign labor. However, experts state that Japan needs to put more effort into being competitive in the universal race for skills and talents.
