ALBERTA PNP Draw Alberta sets a new record in inviting 500 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. On September 7, 2021, Alberta Provincial Nomination Program (Alberta PNP) held its latest draw with a cutoff score of 300 and invited 500 candidates. This is the third-largest draw by the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) after the two largest draws in August. The invited candidates had a cutoff score of at least 300, which is the basic requirement to qualify for the Alberta Express Entry stream. Number of Candidates invited in 2021 through Alberta Express Entry Stream Since January 2021, Alberta has invited 4,507 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination to date. Due to adverse effects in 2020, Alberta took a temporary pause, and then in 2021, it is allowed to issue 6,250 nomination certificates. Process flow in Alberta Express Entry Stream The Alberta Express Entry stream is a new and improved Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This stream allows the provincial government to look for candidates in the federal government's Express Entry pool. It will search for profiles of reliable candidates who are eligible for provincial nomination. Express Entry System manages three Federal High Skilled programs, these include: Comprehensive Ranking System  The applicant needs to score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to get eligible for Express Entry. The points will be allotted based on the following factors:
  • Age
  • Education
  • Work experience
  • Language proficiency in English or French
  • Other factors
The IRCC (immigration department, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) regularly holds the Express Entry draws and invites the highest-scoring applicants to apply for permanent residence. Candidates can immigrate to Canada through the Express Entry system without provincial nomination. However, the candidates who were not able to get the required score can migrate through a provincial nomination. Probably provincial nominees automatically get 600 added points to their overall score. If the candidate with the lowest scores receives the invitation, their CRS score will be 901, which is surplus to get invited for the Express Entry draw.

  • Food service supervisors,
  • Transport truck drivers,
  • Chefs, etc.
Note: If you register under the Express Entry profile, then you need to show your interest in moving to Alberta.
