Process flow in Alberta Express Entry Stream
The Alberta Express Entry stream is a new and improved Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This stream allows the provincial government to look for candidates in the federal government's Express Entry pool. It will search for profiles of reliable candidates who are eligible for provincial nomination.
Express Entry System manages three Federal High Skilled programs, these include:
Comprehensive Ranking System
The applicant needs to score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to get eligible for Express Entry. The points will be allotted based on the following factors:
Age
Education
Work experience
Language proficiency in English or French
Other factors
The IRCC (immigration department, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) regularly holds the Express Entry draws and invites the highest-scoring applicants to apply for permanent residence.
Candidates can immigrate to Canada through the Express Entry system without provincial nomination. However, the candidates who were not able to get the required score can migrate through a provincial nomination.
Probably provincial nominees automatically get 600 added points to their overall score. If the candidate with the lowest scores receives the invitation, their CRS score will be 901, which is surplus to get invited for the Express Entry draw.
