The latest draw has brought Canada EE another step closer to breaking the ITA record in a single year. The draw was held on 12 December through the Express Entry system of economic immigration to Canada. 3,900 invitations for Canada PR were offered in the draw. This brings the 2018’s total of PR ITAs to 85, 900. This is mere 124 lesser than breaking the 2017 record of 86, 023.
The minimum CRS in the latest draw was 445. This is same as the CRS score for the last draw held on 28 November, as quoted by the CIC News. IRCC - Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada conducts an EE round normally every 2 weeks. This implies that another draw is likely this year and the 2017 record may be broken.
The pool of candidates for 3 Federal high skilled economic immigration streams is managed by the federal Express Entry system. These are the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Federal Skilled Worker Class.
Qualifying candidates are offered a score for ranking based on diverse factors. These include proficiency in French or English, work experience, education, and age. It is this score that decides their place in the Express Entry pool.
The policy of tie-breaker was used by IRCC even in the latest Canada EE draw. The time and date were 09:51:43 UTC and November 28, 2018. It implies that all candidates with more than 445 CRS score received ITAs. Also, those who entered the profile in Express Entry prior to the specified time and date also received the ITAs.
