Saskatchewan in Canada conducted its latest draw on 13th February sending out 646 invitations to Express Entry and Occupations In-demand candidates. The 13th February draw was almost three times larger than the previous draw on 13th January that invited 234 applicants.
To be considered for an invitation by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, you must submit a separate EOI to the SINP. SINP invites those candidates who have the potential to settle in the province successfully.
Interested candidates must create an EOI listing their education, work experience, language skills etc. to demonstrate their potential of settling in Saskatchewan. The SINP scores each candidate on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid out of a total of 100 points.
Candidates who score the most are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada Permanent Residency.
The minimum cut-off score in the 13th February draw was 70 points for both the Express Entry as well as the Occupations In-demand category.
You do not need to have a job offer to get invited by Saskatchewan. However, you must have at least one year of work experience in an occupation that is high in demand in the province.
Saskatchewan Express Entry Stream
The 13th February draw invited 277 candidates who had active profiles in the Express Entry Pool. Express Entry candidates who submitted an EOI to Saskatchewan and had a score of 70 or above on the Saskatchewan points-grid, got an invitation. These candidates are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination to the SINP. Obtaining a provincial nomination will enhance their CRS score by 600 points in the Express Entry Pool guaranteeing an ITA in the next draw.
Saskatchewan Occupations In-demand category
If you do not have a profile in the Express Entry Pool, you may still apply under the Occupations In-demand category. However, you must have relevant work experience in any occupation that is in-demand in Saskatchewan.
The Occupations In-demand category invited 369 candidates with a score of 70 or more to apply for a provincial nomination.
The 13th February draw invited candidates in nearly 107 occupations including HR professionals, Managers and Financial Sales representatives.
