Of the total 174 invited in the latest draw, 18 had their profiles in the federal Express Entry system.
The previous MPNP draw was held on July 2, 2020.
Immigration candidates that receive Letters of Advice to Apply [LAAs] in the MPNP draws are invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence.
In order to be considered by the MPNP for the categories of Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba, an immigration candidate will have to first register their Expression of Interest [EOI] with the MPNP.
On the successful creation of their EOI with the MPNP, a score out of 1,000 – referred to as the EOI score – is allotted based on human capital characteristics such as education, ties to Manitoba, work experience, skills in English or French language, along with other factors.
As per the MPNP, “Manitoba received 5,000 Base nomination spaces and 875 Express Entry spaces for 2020”.
Manitoba has issued LAAs to a total of 2,634 immigration candidates in 2020.
