In a Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw held on December 6, Manitoba has invited 221 immigration candidates for being provincially nominated for Canadian permanent residency.
The 221 invitations, or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA), were sent as per the following distribution –

Out of the 221 that were sent LAAs, 18 had a profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
With the latest draw held on December 6, MPNP has invited 7,362 so far in 2019.
To be considered for being provincially nominated by Manitoba, an Express Entry candidate must possess eligible work experience – a minimum of 6 months’ work experience – in any of the occupations that are on the In-Demand Occupations List.
Candidates are also required to submit proof of being accepted into the federal Express Entry pool. For this, they will have to supply their Job Seeker Validation Code as well as a valid Express Entry ID.
Moreover, a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) will have to be submitted to the MPNP.
There are various other criteria to be fulfilled as well.
By Expression of Interest or EOI to the MPNP is meant creating an online profile that ranks an individual on a score of 1,000. Points are given based on various factors, such as – work experience, Manitoba connections, education, etc.
In the latest December 5 draw, the minimum EOI scores that were issued LAAs was –

In this draw, the 23 candidates selected as per the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream were through Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
As the name suggests, the skilled worker must be working in Manitoba. A full-time permanent job offer from the employer in Manitoba is also needed.
There are many other criteria to be fulfilled as well.
The International Education Stream, on the other hand, invites Manitoba graduates with in-demand skills.
